Hello, I'm Gina. I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis)

Updated: Mar 2, 2022

If you're reading this, there is an almost certain chance you or someone you know lives with MS or another chronic illness. If you've read my book, Seven Evils, you will know that I respectfully give my thoughts on living with such an illness (on page 369, to be exact). The summary of my thoughts?

"MS sucks!" In fact, I will share with you the entirety of my thoughts from the back pages of Seven Evils, which I encourage you to read if you have not yet (shameless plug, so sue me).

Okay, MS does suck, but it has also made me a stronger person. I can handle things most people cannot and I do it with a smile on my face and a positive outcome in mind, so I am thankful for that.

What is MS?

According to the National MS Society, MS is where a person's immune system basically gets super confused and attacks its own central nervous system (CNS). It causes inflammation that damages myelin (the protective coating around the nerves in the brain and spine). This causes misfiring within the CNS, which causes really uncomfortable symptoms. There is no known cause. There is no cure.

So, you see, MS does suck, as all chronic illnesses do. Together, we can spread awareness and support for the millions of folks living this way. We are more than our diseases, and we deserve happiness and beyond. Thank you for your support!
